The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Face your deficiencies and acknowledge them; but do not let them master you. Let them teach you patience, sweetness, insight. When we do the best we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.
Helen Keller
Let us not look back in anger or forward in fear, but around in awareness.
James Thurber

Dale Carnegie
The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what

Life is not suffering; it's just that you will suffer it, rather than enjoy it, until you let go of your mind's attachments and just go for the ride freely, no matter what happens.

Arthur James Balfour

"If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment."
-- Marcus Aurelius
"Faith is a gift of spirit that allows the soul to remain attached to its own unfolding. When faith is soulful, it is always planted in the soil of wonder and questioning. It isn't a defensive and anxious holding on to certain objects of belief, because doubt, as its shadow, can be brought into a faith that is fully mature."
-- Thomas Moore, "Care of Soul"
If you hear a voice within you saying "you are not a painter," then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

We do not see things the way they are.
We see things the way we are.

Experience is not what happens to a man. It is what a man does with what happens to him.

Seeing Purely
...So perception is just the way we see things. If an object remained always and exactly the same, and everyone saw it in exactly the same way, then it would have what we could call objective truth.
In reality, however, nothing has a fixed or permanent identity and we do not all see things in the same way, and therefore the way we see things is more important than trying to find out what they 'really' are.
Even if you wanted to analyze what an object really was, you wouldn't find an answer because no object has any inherent existence anyway. What matters to us is how we see it.
--Dzogchen Rinpoche
A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
--Albert Einstein
When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing, then we truly live life.
--Greg Anderson
"Some people make things happen, some watch while things happen, and some wonder 'What happened?'"
--Unknown
"It is not how much we do, but how much love we put into the doing. And it is not how much we give but how much love we put into the giving. To God there is nothing small."

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

"The most incomprehensible fact about the universe is.....that it is comprehensible. Nothing happens by luck or accident. God doesn't shoot crap with the universe.
Your innermost thoughts are beliefs that unfold as your universe".
-- Albert Einstein.

HAPPINESS
It is not the level of prosperity that makes for happiness but the kinship of heart to heart and the way we look at the world. Both attitudes are within our power, so that a man is happy so long as he chooses to be happy, and no one can stop him.
