All the wise sages of the ages and deep thinking philosophical dudes and dudesses of the past and present say pretty much the same things. ‘You are the captain of your ship, the master of your fate’, ‘Success is an inside job’, ‘Believe in yourself’, ‘The kingdom of God is within’, ‘Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative, don’t mess with mister inbetween’, ‘Life is what you make it’, ‘Think and Grow Rich’, ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’, ‘Thinking makes it so’, etc. etc. etc.
There is general agreement that our attitude determines our quality of life. Yet, in spite of that humongous revelation there is a tendency to blame someone for our lack of greater success and complain about circumstance for not being ideal. There are excuses galore for not realizing the ‘moreness’ of life. If it’s not the lousy boss, it’s the lousy weather….or the lousy economy… …or the lousy opportunity….or the lousy advice……or the dog……or the water….. or the whatever…..or the whomever.
Blaming and complaining solidifies the illusion that someone or something is responsible for your tale of woe……and that someone or something is responsible for your greater success in life. What happened to ‘You are the captain of your ship, the master of your fate’, etc. etc. etc.? Oh, it’s there somewhere in the recesses of your mind, waiting for you to make up your mind as what is true.
Waiting for you to make up your mind as to where oh where lies the power to experience more of the ‘moreness’ of life. Waiting for you to wake up from a dream of helplessness and victimhood to a reality of self-empowerment.
There are more opportunities for your greater life enhancement surrounding you right now than you could ever handle in an entire lifetime. However, your insistence that you are a victim of people and circumstances blocks your awareness of the treasures that await you.
Here is your assignment:
With a ball point or felt tip pen draw a happy face on your thumb. Two dots for the eyes and a smile for the mouth. Look at your thumb, and with as much conviction you can muster, affirm the following:
There Is No One Nor Anything That Causes Me Despair,
So Now I’m Free for Me To See The ‘Moreness’ Everywhere!
Look at your thumb during the course of the day. It will remind you of the futility of blaming and complaining as you decide to look to yourself for creative options and solutions for anything that may concern you. If you decide to take this assignment don’t be surprised to find what you are looking for as you access more of your innate creative nature. As a matter of fact, you can expect it…………..BECAUSE, within you are all the resources of God as unlimited possibilities. Where do you think greatness and creativity come from? Chopped liver? Greatness and creativity come through you from God. Not from a God that withholds It’s nature from you, but from a God that resides in you, completeness and all. The whole ball of wax. The whole shabang. Wanna bet?
Be sure to re-draw a fading happy face on your thumb whenever necessary while reinforcing at the same time:
There Is No One Nor Anything That Causes Me Despair,
So Now I’m Free for Me To See The ‘Moreness’ Everywhere!
