Two Poems

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round
Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last

Do you run through each day on the fly
When you ask "How are you?" do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last

Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow
And in your haste, not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time to call and say "Hi"?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast
Time is short
The music won't last

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....Thrown away...

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music Before the song is over.

FRIENDS

Many people will walk in and out or your life,
but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head,to handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you once, it's his fault.
If he betrays you twice, it's your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.

God Gives every bird it's food, but He does
not throw it into it's nest.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses more;
He who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are acts of nature,
Beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

The tongue weighs practically nothing, but so
few people can hold it.

Friends, you and me. You brought another friend
...and then there were 3....
We started our group.....Our circle of friends......and like that circle
.......there is no beginning........there is no end.
